on this page are intended to help users perform the Macrovision
FLEXnet License Manager and Authorisation Code Upgrade, as per the document
supplied by Saros Technology. This
provides access to the latest FLEXnet v10.8 drivers together with the
latest drivers for all of the supported dongles (6-, 7-, 8-, 9- series). NOTE:
Some of the links below require a valid SupportNet user account and
password for access and are thus only available to users under current maintenance.
Any users under maintenance without a password can get one via http://supportnet.mentor.com/user/register.cfm
FLEXnet
v10.8 Licensing Drivers
We
encourage you to upgrade your license server software at your
earliest convenience. You will need to upgrade your license server
to FLEXnet v10.8 to support the new long-format authorisation codes. In
addition, Mentor Graphics applications built with FLEXnet v10.8 will
require a license server running FLEXnet v10.8, or newer, in order
to be granted an authorisation code. Note that this version is not
yet supplied in the installations of all products, so may need to be
installed separately. The
process to upgrade your license server software is very similar to
the process you have used in the past. The server software upgrade

Dongle
(Hardware Key) Drivers Windows-based
applications and license servers built with FLEXnet v10.8 should install newer
versions of dongle drivers to successfully recognise Flexid 8- and 9- series
dongles. Dongle installation utilities including PCLS Install have been updated
to load the newer dongle drivers. If you should experience problems, a solution
can be found in TechNote

Download the latest HASP4 USB Dongle Device Driver (9- series, version
4.102) from here - ftp://ftp.ealaddin.com/pub/hasp/new_releases/driver/HASP4_driver_setup.zip
The current Dongle Drivers (6-, 7-, 8-, 9- series)
con be obtained from your latest Mentor tool installation (it may
first require an uninstall of the previous ones via Windows "Add/Remove
Programs")
