Eldo RF extends the Eldo transistor-level simulator into the realm of RF IC design. Through the use of 3rd-generation, multi-tone algorithms, Eldo RF is capable of simulating RF ICs with thousands of devices at levels of performance not available before.
In addition, Eldo RF offers all standard RF measurement functions such as 1 dB compression points, Nth order intercept points, (minimum) noise figure, K factor etc.
Eldo RF handles voltage controlled oscillators and frequency dividers, and it provides accurate prediction of the phase noise density both close to and far from the carrier.
The tool handles digitally modulated signals as well, supporting common modulation formats and standards such as QPSK, QAM, GFSK, C4FM or EDGE. Eldo RF uses the same device models as Eldo itself, including Bsim3v3.x, Bsim4.2, VBIC, and HICUM, and it is driven with a standard SPICE netlist.
Design kits including electrical models for Eldo RF are also available from popular foundries.
