On
chip Debugging is now a must-have technology for debugging FPGAs on the
bench. The introduction of larger devices with many
internal nodes has meant that external Logic Analyzers can no longer cope with
identifying internal defects in a timely fashion during hardware debug.
DiaLite overcomes many of the limitations of the FPGA Vendor's
own debuggers such as re-sizeable instrumentation, multiple-FPGA support and the
ability to trace events back to the line of code that caused them. This means that time spent debugging on the bench can be
significantly reduced with a less hit and miss approach.
Temento
is headquartered in Grenoble, France and is the market leader in hardware
debugging for FPGAs. Temento was founded in 1996 to provide production
JTAG test equipment - DiaTem - from which the technology has been leveraged
to monitor and control the internal nodes of FPGAs - DiaLite.
